STRAT 2024 Call for Presentations

Below is the form for submitting a proposal for UX STRAT USA, which will take place in Boulder CO on September 9 - 11, 2024. The focus of UX STRAT is a combination of business strategy and experience design. Our key curation tenets are rigor, depth, and transparency. The deadline for proposal submissions is April 20, 2024.

Most proposals that are accepted into the program are strategic design case studies, in-depth frameworks, or hands-on workshops. You can view past presentations here: http://www.slideshare.net/UXSTRAT/presentations.

The audience will consist primarily of very experienced UX leaders, strategists, researchers, and designers, so your presentation or workshop proposal should be targeted to this audience. Presentations and workshops on the basics of user experience design and usability will be rejected without being evaluated by the conference review panel. There will be zero tolerance for promotions or advertisements cloaked as presentations.

Presentations can be 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Workshops will be half-day long. They should be practical "How To" sessions with substantial participation exercises. Presentations have only one presenter, workshops can have two presenters.

8. Provide a timeline for each section and subsection. This should include details such as topics covered and duration of each section, to give reviewers a clear understanding of the specifics of your presentation or workshop. Maximum length = 1,000 words

9. Record a short video using Zoom (2 or 3 slides with picture-in-picture video)in which you present your main case/concept/approach. Production values are not important, we only want to determine if the actual content is a good fit for this event. Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo, and paste the link here:

10. Goals for the session, i.e. what attendees will take away from your presentation or workshop that they can use immediately in their work

11. Experience of presenter(s) in the subject matter, qualifications to speak on this topic
